Birthday Presence

My Rating: 4.5/5 My Thoughts: I was hooked from the very beginning of this book. Declan is determined to find out what happened to his girlfriend Daphne. He seeks out Dr. Campos. A reclusive doctor. Declan finds himself in an unfortunate position, and things quickly unravel. Amber is trying to find out what happened to her boyfriend Declan. There have been unusual circumstances and she feels like something bad happened to him. My mind was going a mile a minute trying to figure out what was going on with these characters. SB Rogue does an incredible job taking you through a journey while trying to guess what is truly going on. If you like dark psychological thrillers that may keep you up late, I highly recommend this book.

Well this was my first read from this author it was well written and definitely had you sitting on the edge of your seat. I kept second guessing myself and the mystery was on point. I had so many thoughts and the end had my mind going wait what... Over all a great read.

What the fuck did I just read? Birthday Presence is not a typical book; it is like being pulled into a group psychotic breakdown with four strangers, and you begin to wonder whether you are the one who is crazy. It has this girl with a shadow hanging around her, a guy who is caught between a nightmare and reality, a nosy reclusive psychiatrist, and an insane assistant- they all spin into something dark, erotic, completely wrong in the best way. At the end, I was completely losing it trying to figure out what was real, who to believe, and why the hell my brain was so fucked up.

This book is a multi-POV, twisted trip straight down to crazy lane. Each leading character is connected in their own unsettling, tangled way, and the shifting perspectives let the story unravel at different paces—each thread tightening until everything collides at the end. If you love dark and twisted tales with a demonic edge and an asylum backdrop, this one’s absolutely for you.

Sb rouge always takes me for a RIDE in this books. It’s twisty, controlling and spicy….. and a tad bit scary 😂 You’ll definitely love this mix of romance and thriller. 10/10 will be buying a copy for my sister (I received a or box but I’m honestly reviewing)

“I’d rather dash headfirst into a woodchipper than spend another minute under the care of Dr. Emmanuel Campos.” This should really not have been one of my favorite quotes but it was. Now before you pull a me and go “yep, this is my book” by a simple quote, let me say this is an Erotic Horror type book. But if thats your style, darling, jump head first. Don’t ask questions but dive right in and enjoy. This is my first read from author SB Rogue and it will surely not be my last!! Y’all, this was such a wonderful mindfuck. I will literally be back for more because I finished the book as seriously was happily surprised with how the book ended. Don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t looking for a HEA in any way but to see how this book ended, I was surprised. I absolutely loved how this felt like we wrapped everything up into a perfect little bow. The book had multiple occasions where I sat back going “are we about to go this direction?” But then I had to remind myself to sit back and just enjoy the ride. I cannot speak enough positive statements about this book. If you are a Romcom person, I do not recommend this book. You need to be ok with dark topics. This isn’t the darkest I have read but it isn’t going to be a light read. But if you are a dark reader, please check the trigger warnings and pick up this book. It was delicious! I now have to go find more to read. Dang you SB Rogue!!!!!

This one was an absolute rollercoaster and mindf**k! There was so much going on, but in a good way. The story with Declan and Daphne was very intriguing and not what I was expecting. It was very disturbing, intense, and so much manipulation. Honestly this story will make you be like, "what the hell did I just read?! I LOVE IT!". It's definitely a must read if you like psychological thrillers.

4.0 Stars Birthday Presence by SB Rouge If you are looking for a mind-bending thriller that will leave you with your mouth on the floor, this is a perfect read. This multi POV story will take you between the past and present without you really knowing which is which. Each character is interconnected, but what is real and what is not? You will be guessing the entire way through this story and likely will still be unsure when you get to the end. Definitely a worthwhile read for those that like the challenge of piecing together subtleties to unfold the total picture of a story!

This was one read I didnt know how would end. I had so many ideas on who IT was. This book mind f*c*ed me and I couldn't stop until the end. I still have questions and I'll end up reading it again and again! Declan hunted in his nightmares and just wants someone to help him. The Dr. and his assistant are something out of a horror movie 🤣. They are unhinged to say the least. I hope there's will be a second one because I need to know what happens to the fiancé. SB Rogue is loved this unhinged dark af book. Definitely a must read and re-read. Check the triggers its dark! Your mental health matters.
